Registration and Profiles

To become a member of artCloud.com, you first register their name, e-mail address, and create a password. You then fill out more detailed information in the profile area of the site. Depending on your choices in setting up your profile, this information or part of it will be visible to others. This is part of the richness of being an artCloud member, as what you’ve decided to offer and share with others will engage people and begin the process of discovering, sharing, collaborating, and connecting that is what artCloud is all about. Of course, artCloud members can change their profile information whenever they want under “My Account,” where you can control who you do and don’t want to see your information.

What Information We Collect

artCloud collects your profile information so that other people can find you, read what you’ve offered them to read about you, and create connections with you. We also log information that is non-personally indentifiable, such as IP address, aggregate user data, and the type of browser you used. We use this data to track usage so that we can improve the artCloud user experience and to manage the site. IP addresses are recorded for security reasons. We may share this non-identifiable information with third parties so that they can provide services targeted specifically for our users, but we never link this information with your personally identifiable information except when required by law. From time to time, artCloud may sponsor a contest or exhibition and users may be asked to provide personal information such as name, e-mail address or other contact information in order to participate. This information will not be shared with anyone under any circumstances, unless prior permission is sought from users by artCloud and is granted to artCloud.

Cookies

artCloud operates the way most other web sites do in that we use cookies and web log files to track the usage on our site. Cookies are little data files that reside on your computer so that, in our case, artCloud can recognize you when you come back to our site using the same computer and web browser. This way, you don’t have to log in every time you return to the site. If you don’t have your browser set to accept cookies, however, this will not work and you won’t be able to experience the full range of artCloud.

Links

artCloud contains links to other sites, whether this is members’ sites or sponsors’ sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site, you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected on artCloud.

Third-Party Advertising

Ads appearing on the artCloud site may be delivered to users by artCloud or one of our web advertising partners. Our Web advertising partners may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad servers may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by artCloud and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Security

artCloud member accounts are secured by member-created passwords. artCloud takes precautions to insure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored on our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service and technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of member account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of member information at any time.
