|
Ash Almonte is an abstract expressionist painter living in Abilene, Texas. She works in acrylic and oil on linen and canvas. Her passion for painting has attracted many collectors and numerous awards including a "Best in Painting" award in the Manhattan Arts International 24th Anniversary competition.
Her interest in art began at an early age and accolades for her work quickly followed. She started exhibiting her work and participating in competitions at the age of fourteen. She won three state medals during high school and attended college with a Perry Bentley Scholarship. While in college she earned several awards including those for “Outstanding Painter.” Her work has been exhibited in several one-person and group exhibitions including those at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, TX, the Broadway Mall Gallery in New York, NY, and Simply Art Gallery in Galveston, TX, among others.
The Abstract Expressionism of Almonte’s work is absolute and total. Her daring process has received praise from Judy Deaton, Curator, at The Grace Museum. Her work gives voice to the inexpressible emotion and comprehension of the world around us. Each piece expresses an emotion, statement, or story. Collectors of her work have commented that she carries a confident and mature use of color and composition through all her works. Inspired and driven by her father, support from her mother, and with the love of her husband this talented and passionate artist has a lengthly road of success ahead of her.

Objective:
To produce a strong and meaningful series of paintings throughout my career, creating each piece with emotion, expression, and story. Insuring my work not only becomes an investment but an asset to my collectors .
