  My statement  
Creator of bold matter of fact nudes and landscapes set in the American West. Powers works are in charcoal and gouache on hand tinted paper.

  Professional history  
Powers has an MFA from Maryland Institute College of art 1986. In 1995 he moved to Great Falls, Montana to work as an Artist-in-residentce in the schools. He now teaches drawing and painting out of his studio and exhibits his work mostly in the South-Western US.
