My statement
|
|
I am interested in the life of my work outside of my studio and the gallery as well as how my work is interpreted by each individual; forming a narrative that is beyond my control.
Rather than create singular, closed objects I mean to initiate in my work, forms of action combining material and thought. I am continually adapting to my situation and environment, getting over the notion of failure and developing ways to make work. My practice forces me to learn new skills, work in new techniques and with new materials. Experimentation, problem solving and discovery propel me forward.
