My statement
|
|
Craig Kittner creates work in a zone between structure and chaos and between simplicity and complexity. He coaxes out movement, depth and complex color interactions using patterns derived from nature. There is a core element of nature in his artwork because there is a core love and respect for nature in his being.
Craig's work has been exhibited throughout the East Coast, in Kentucky and Memphis Tennessee. Since 1994, he has exhibited in twelve solo exhibitions and over twenty group exhibitions. He was represented by eklektikos gallery of art in Washington, DC from 1997 until its closing in 2003. His works are in private and public collections in the United States, Europe and South America. Craig has also published several articles about art, served as executive director for Touchstone Gallery in Washington, DC and currently is arts marketing director for the Kentucky Arts Council.
