      My statement  
    I like experimenting with unconventional painting methods. When I first started painting, I actually put paint in my hair and splattered it onto the canvas using a head-banging motion. (Fortunately for the health of my spine, I didn't stay with that idea for long.) My technique now involves applying paint with a sponge. This allows me to incorporate a controlled amount of randomness. My goal is to depict chaos, motion and speed, but still maintain a focal point and be pleasing to the eye. In fact, for me personally, it's a challenge not to fade into the background. So I want my paintings to do the opposite by looking dynamic and enticing passers-by to stop and observe.
